Winter Plans For This Coming Season

November 5th, 2019.

Cairngorm Mountain Scotland Ltd unveiled their winter plans last month and underlined their commitment to deliver a superb experience for skiers and snowboarders.

The full announcement is at http://news.hie.co.uk/all-…/cairngorm-winter-plans-revealed/

With the funicular out of service, of course uplift capacity is limited. However, nine surface lifts will enable potentially hundreds of visitors a day to access the slopes when conditions are suitable.

All surface lifts will be operational as and when snow cover and customer demand permits.

The aim is to accommodate up to 1,000 people a day, more than half the 1,700 capacity when the funicular is operational.

Snow making on the lower slopes will ensure that less experienced visitors can also look forward to a fantastic day out.

Acknowledging the limits of reduced ski lifts is a sensible measure that will minimise queuing times and avoid disappointment.
