What’s On in November

October 24th, 2024.

We’ve been delighted to welcome so many visitors here at Cairngorm Mountain during the busy October school holidays. After this busy spell our teams will be focusing their efforts on preparing for the winter snowsports season. Therefore, our Autumn outdoor activities will come to a natural end on Sunday 3rd November 2024. A huge thank you to all our customers who visited us throughout the holidays!

However, we won’t be closed and here’s what you can still enjoy throughout November.

1. Cairngorm Café

Cosy up with homemade warm dishes from our café or experience our legendary hot chocolate in front of the log fire. Pop out to our outdoor terrace to take a snap of the views at over 600 metres above sea level. The café will be closed for a face lift from Monday 11th – Friday 15th November inclusive, however our Cas Bar will be open during that time instead (scroll down to find out more).

 2. The Cas Bar

Our cosy Cas Bar has just undergone a total refurbishment. When the Cairngorm Café is closed in November you can still enjoy light bites, hot drinks or local beers whilst relaxing on our new sofas or sitting in front of the fire.

3. The Mountain Shop

The Mountain Shop will be open every day in November. With unique Cairngorm Mountain clothing and pictures it’s a great opportunity for some early Christmas shopping. You’ll also find luxury candles, essential outdoor clothing together with children’s toys, Cairngorm Gin including the mountain edition and much more.

4. The Mountain Garden

The mountain garden is free to explore and is home to the UK’s highest phone box. Enjoy a selfie at this unique spot on the mountain. Admire the scenery from the viewpoint and listen to the sounds of nature including the stream flowing beneath you.

5. Viewpoints

Many of our visitors come just for the view, and it’s no wonder. From the benches in our refurbished car park you can enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains, forests and the glistening Loch Morlich in the distance. You’ll also find other viewpoints around the resort to sit and just take in the views.

5. Parking

With November being a quiet month you’ll find parking in our main car park effortless. Please note charges do apply. You could also leave the car behind and pop on the regular Aviemore Adventurer bus to our front door, and enjoy a few drinks including local gins, whiskies and beers in our bar or café.

Get Set for Snowsports

For all snowsports enthusiasts keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates on the sale of winter season passes ahead of snowsports opening on Friday 20th December.

Following updates from our parent company, Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) and their main contractor Balfour Beatty, we are confident that the mountain railway will return to operation for the upcoming snowsports season.
