Role Overview

Purpose of job

The Kitchen Porter will help to keep our kitchen clean to the highest standards and assist the wider kitchen team as directed.

Pay Rate:

  • 18 Years plus £12.00 per hour
  • 17-18 Years £10.40 per hour
  • Under 17 £7.35 per hour
  • Plus great benefits
  • Day shifts only

Roles and Responsibilities

  • To take responsibility for the cleaning of all cutlery, crockery and other kitchen equipment ensuring that all is cleaned to the highest standard.
  • To maintain cleanliness and tidiness of kitchen and surrounding areas
  • Maintaining general cleaning standards, follow cleaning schedules and emptying bins
  • To be aware of all Kitchen Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Observe all Health & Safety requirements. Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety procedures, risk assessments and company policies

Person Specification

Experience

Experience Preferred

  • Experience in a busy kitchen environment would be advantageous but not essential
  • Experience working within a busy team and under pressure

Skills

  • Ability to follow clear direction 
  • Ability to work well as part of a wider team
  • Attention to detail with an awareness of responsibility

Personal Attributes/Behaviours

  • A reliable, motivated individual with a solid work ethic
  • Adaptable to changing business demands
  • English as a first language not required
