The new Adventure Ball Runs at Cairngorm Mountain are the highlight of our outdoor adventure play areas. The experience begins with a series of fun questions that you have to get right to get your ball back! Then watch your ball snake through the ball runs in the Mountain Garden before reaching the finish line! It’s a great activity for all ages.
Begin the adventure ball run experience with Rhona the Reindeer at the Camera Obscura in the Mountain Garden.
Here Rhona will ask you 7 fun questions which you must get correct to get your ball to the finish point!
Children age 14 or under must be supervised by an adult (and to assist reaching the ball holes).
Have fun watching your ball snake through the ball run in the Mountain Garden.
When you purchase your wooden ball you’ll also receive a fun quiz to complete with some questions from Fergus which you’ll find answers to in the garden.

Enjoy panoramic views from over 600 feet above sea level at Heather and Hamish’s ball run finale!
Watch as you ball twists and turns it’s way down Heather’s ball track and then have a go at her brother Hamish’s final ball run.

The Adventure Play Park at Cairngorm Mountain is free to access for anyone purchasing a ball for our adventure ball runs. The playpark includes a small tubing slide for ages 2+ together with a dual zip line, winch cat climbing frame and the new jumping pillow.
Our gentle slide is perfect for little ones to experience mountain tubing at a slower pace.
The ‘wee’ slide is suitable for ages 2 – 8 years old. Once the little ones build up their confidence they may wish to test out the bigger slides in our tubing park!
With two zip lines, it’s great fun for children to race against each other, with spectacular views from the mountain down towards Loch Morlich. The zip lines are not manned by an attendant, it is the duty of the participants responsible adult to watch their children.
Suitable for children age 16 and under.
Let the kids explore our climbing frame built to resemble our snow clearing equipment!
Little ones will love the tunnels to climb through and a platform to get in the drivers seat. Let their imagination run wild.
This is ideal for younger children.
The jumping pillow is a great addition to the play park and is opening for the easter holidays.
It’s around 14 metres x 10 metres in size and provides a thrilling experience for children to jump and bounce to their hearts content.
Suitable for ages 2 – 16 years old. Opening is subject to weather conditions.
