Scotland’s only gravity fuelled mountain cart experience
Now closed for the season. Carting will re-open in Spring 2025. You can still buy a gift voucher, valid for 12 months, perfect for Christmas.
A Scotland First
Your adrenaline experience begins at over 600 metres above sea level where you’ll be transported in an off road ‘Unimog’ up to the start of the track.
Here at over 900 metres above sea level you’ll enjoy spectacular mountain views before joining our guide for a daring downward descent in a three wheel cart. It’s Scotland’s only gravity fuelled carting.
Carting is now closed for the season and returns in spring 2025. Activity gift vouchers are now available to buy, valid for 12 months.
The first ride of its kind in Scotland, the daring mountain carting experience is suitable for ages 14 and over. If you are 18 or under you must provide photo ID.
After an exciting off road ride up the mountain side you’ll get a chance to take in the stunning views before twisting and turning at speed all the way down the 1.9km track. Your vehicle is a 3-wheel cart which benefits from a low sense of gravity adding to the daring ride.

What our Customers Say
“We tried out the new mountain carting, excellent safety briefing from Scott (Mario) made everyone feel safe but didn’t take the enjoyment out of the experience. Loved it so much we did it again, well worth the second run as you feel much more confident after the first run. All staff were super friendly and made the trip memorable.” Ross Simpson, July 2024
“Was on the mountain carts today. Brilliant fun! Would recommend this to anyone heading to the mountain resort.” Alan Fletcher, July 2024
“I just wanted to say a huge thank you, we booked the Mountain Carting this afternoon for a family activity and it was absolutely fantastic from the unimog journey up to the lovely guides and the carting itself was incredible. One of my daughters was extremely nervous to start but had a massive grin on her face when we got to the bottom. We will most definitely be back.” Lindsay Ross, July 2024
