Limited snowsports open daily at our Base Station. Café and mountain shop open daily however shop will be closed on Friday 17th January. The funicular railway is still currently out of service with further updates expected soon.

Mountain Karting
Scotland’s only gravity fuelled mountain karting experience is right here at Cairngorm Mountain. The experience begins with a ride on an off road vehicle to the start of the track, over 900 metres above sea level. Customers can then enjoy an exhilarating run down the 1.9 kilometre track to the finish line.
Cairngorm Mountain is the best destination for family mountain biking in Aviemore. Outside the winter season the area is transformed into 3km of mountain biking trails. The ‘magic carpet’ conveyor belts easily reach the beginner trails, while the intermediate and advanced trails offer the ultimate adrenaline rush. Bike hire is also available on site from balance bikes to adult and e-bikes.
Cairngorm Mountain offers the most unique tubing experience in Aviemore. Each 30-minute session offers an exciting, high-speed experience with brilliant views over Loch Morlich and the Spey Valley. There’s a choice of slides which are suitable for ages 4+ through to grandparents!.

The experience begins with a series of fun questions that you have to get right to get your ball back! Then watch your ball snake through the ball runs in the Mountain Garden before reaching the final ball runs at the bike park.

In winter, the most popular thing to do in Aviemore is to visit Scotland’s top ski resort, Cairngorm Mountain. Families and beginners can reach the beginner slopes with our ‘magic carpet’ conveyor belts. With over 30km of pisted runs, 13 surface lifts, freestyle terrain and on-site equipment rental we truly offer something for all. Are there charges for parking at the resort?
Charges for parking vary throughout the year. For the latest information on parking please visit the dedicated parking page of our website.
Parking is free year-round for disabled visitors.
Are you dog friendly?
Yes we are dog friendly. You can bring your furry friend into our cafes in the Day Lodge and there’s also great walks you can do from the main car park. Please note that only assistance dogs are allowed on the journey up on the Mountain Railway to the Ptarmigan. However for walkers we do allow dogs into the Ptarmigan restaurant at the Top Station.
Can I fly my drone at the resort?
We understand that many visitors want to capture the spectacular landscape surrounding Cairngorm Mountain using their drone however, due to safety concerns for other mountain users, employees, Search and Rescue Aircrafts, ski area property and ropeways, Cairngorm Mountain (Scotland) Ltd prohibits the operation or use of unmanned aerial systems, or drones, for commercial purposes or by the general public – including recreational users and hobbyists – without prior written authorisation from the company. This restriction includes drones for filming and photography, as well as any drone used by the media operating above the ski area or launched from the beyond the ski area boundary.
