The mountain railway is currently out of service, however the latest up date from our parent company Highlands and Islands Enterprise confirms that the funicular railway is set to be back in action towards the end of December or early in the new year. When will the mountain railway return to service?

Here is the latest update from our parent company, Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) – we’re currently aiming for the funicular to be back in service at the start of the upcoming winter season at Cairngorm Mountain, which begins on Friday 20 December 2024.  

Can I purchase my season pass online?

Once live, you will be able to purchase season passes online via our Skiperformance webshop – www.cairngormmountain.skiperformance.com – this platform allows you to purchase passes for multiple individuals in a single transaction. For first time purchasers you will be required to add a SKIDATA Key Card that your pass will be loaded on to. Existing online customers will have the ability to reload their cards from last year and head straight to the slopes.

Will I still be able to buy my season pass at the Ticket Office?

Yes, if you would prefer to buy your pass in person you can come into the Ticket Office.

How long will my season pass be valid for?

Your season pass will be valid for the full duration of the snowsports season, and you can use it as many times during that period as you like.

Can we use the mountain railway in the summer with our season pass?

Yes, you can use your season pass for the mountain railway up until it’s expiry date.

I haven't received my instructors license/membership card, will I still qualify for the Early Bird discount?

We understand that some governing bodies may not issue licenses/memberships before the end of November, therefore we have extended our Early Bird discounts for these passes until the end of December 2024.

I would like to buy someone a season pass as a gift, can I get it sent to a different address?

If you would like to buy your pass as gift please email us at info@cairngormmountain.co.uk or call us on 01479 861 261.

I've paid for my season pass, when should I expect to receive it?

We will aim to process all season passes as quickly as possible. Once produced, these will be posted to the address listed on your account (if purchased online) in advance of the snowsports season commencing, unless you have selected to collect from the Ticket Office. You will be notified by email of any changes to this.

Do I have to pay for car parking?

Car parking will be free throughout the snowsports season. Our main car park can get very busy, so we encourage customers to use the regular Aviemore Adventurer bus which can accommodate your snowsports equipment too. It also drops you right outside our front door!

Terms & Conditions

• Season Passes valid from 20 December 2024 – April 2025 (end date to be confirmed). If we have sufficient natural snow we will open earlier.
• Children aged 5 and under only pay an administration fee of £25 per child for the full season.
• *Super seniors (age 75+) who had a 2023-24 season pass, only pay an administration fee of £25 per person for the full season.
• Students must provide a valid student ID and may be asked for proof of age in advance.
• The pass is non-transferrable, and no refunds can be made. Anyone using or attempting to use someone else’s pass will have the pass confiscated and it will not be returned to the owner.
• Cairngorm Mountain (Scotland) Ltd reserves the right to change prices and services at any time without notice.
• Cairngorm Mountain (Scotland) Ltd retains the right to close all or any of the lifts at any time, conditions for any operations can be affected by weather and snow.
• The Company’s facilities are used at the pass holder’s own risk. The company accepts no responsibility for injury, loss or damage.
• If a pass is lost during the winter season, there will be a £20 administration fee to produce a duplicate.
• Your season pass must always be carried with you. Spot checks will be in place and season pass holders will be required to show their pass upon request.
• The pass is sold subject to the user’s compliance with the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) code of conduct.
• The pass is sold on the understanding that the holder will undertake all activity respecting the European Conservation Site boundaries.
• Any season pass holder who will be working as a ski instructor on Cairngorm is required to have an instructors season pass.
