Hello all,
We are starting to see some wintery conditions here on Cairngorm and with our team returning to site preparations have begun for our Winter Launch which will be taking place on the 19th of December. The recent resurfacing work on the lower slopes will allow for a wider area this season with dedicated space for lessons, freestyle and public snowsports. Our Snow Factory has been producing a great amount of artificial snow and once the temperature is suitable the snow cannons will assist in building a base over the coming weeks. The artificial area was a great success last year and will allow us to offer snowsports while we await natural snowfall on the upper mountain.
The early-bird season pass discount has now ended. Due to the restrictions of the pandemic, we have made the decision to put the availability of full season passes on hold until snow conditions allow us to increase capacity, whilst ensuring public safety. Please be assured, all of our actions are being taken in line with guidance from governing bodies and the safety of our customers and staff will stay our top priority.
We look forward to welcoming you to Cairngorm this winter.
Susan Smith, Interim Chief Executive – Cairngorm Mountain
