Snowsports Equipment Hire at CairnGorm Mountain

We have a full range of snowsports equipment supplied by Salomon GB for hire on the mountain including skis, boots, snowboards, helmets and outer clothing. All the equipment is fully maintained and serviced by trained Salomon technicians. A deposit is required when you hire snowsports equipment at CairnGorm Mountain - see below. There are many other outlets offering ski and snowboard hire in and around Aviemore. At peak holiday periods CairnGorm Mountain does not carry sufficient hire stock to meet peak demand so please arrive early (before 9am) or hire in the village.

Stock Range
Ski Boots: 82 pairs of kids boots from size 5 to 1.5 , 340 pairs adult boots from 2.5 to size 16!
Skis : 300 sets from as small as 80sm up to 174cm. We also have performance sets of skis too.
Snowboard Boots: 185 pairs from size 13 kids to size 13 adult
Snowbaords: 115 boards in total ranging from size 115cm - 165cm (goofy and regular)

Children's Sizes.
There is an extensive range of childrens equipment with skis as small as 80cm and ski boots as small as size 9. During peak holiday periods like Christmas, New Year, February Half Term and Easter there is high demand for children's equipment. Priority is given to children booked into lessons with the Ski School (01479 861219). If you require children's hire we advise customers to be on site before 9am during these holiday periods as demand can exceed supply.

Injury Prevention.
CairnGorm Mountain offer helmets with children's ski hire and encourages the use of wrist guards for snowboarding. Hire has a range of Flexmeter wrist guards for use - please ask at ski hire.

Paying for and Collecting Ski and Snow board Equipment
If you are not in a ski lesson but require equipment hire you should go directly to the Base Station Ticket Offce. Equipment hire should be paid for at the same time as purchasing ski tickets in the Base Station Ticket Office. Once paid for, it can then be collected on level 3 of the Day Lodge Building. (same location as the Ski School Desk).
NOTE: If you have booked a ski lesson or require a ski lesson please go straight to the Ski School Booking Desk on Level 3 of the Day Lodge where you will pay and collect everything you need; lesson, ski ticket and equipment.

A deposit is required when hiring equipment. This can be a credit or debit card number, passport or £200 cash.

Sledge Hire
All sledge hire should be booked and paid for in the Shop at the Top - Top Ptarmigan Station. £5 per half hour. This is at the top of the mountain. SAFETY FIRST There are many underground streams within the ski area, rocks and fencing. For your safety sledging is only permitted with the designated sledging area.

Repair Workshop
Ski and Board Service Workshop Service facilities are also available from the workshop on Level 3 of the Day Lodge. (same location as the Ski School Desk and Equipment Hire Collection Point.
