CairnGorm Ski Patrol

CairnGorm Ski Patrol are a dedicated team who route mark all the available ski runs and ensure that safety notices, warning and directional signs are in place. The patrol team are a highly trained team and provide emergency medical response for visitors undertaking activities within the ski area boundary.

Patrol are highly visible out and about on the mountain in red jackets with a white cross on their arms. They are contactable via any member of staff with a radio. There are 3 dedicated  patrol points on the mountain - in the Base Station (car park level), at the Shieling (mid mountain) and in the Top Station (top of the railway).

Should these points not be manned and you need to report an accident or require assistance any member of staff can contact patrol. Always pass on as much detail as possible including location of injured person and the nature of the injury.

You can contact Ski Patrol direct on 01479 861316 (during ski operational days) or by email on  cmatthew@cairngormmountain.org

In the downloads section opposite you will find lots of useful information on preparing for the winter season snowsports. Safety rules whilst on the slopes and injury prevention. Preventing inujury is always better than rehabilitation after the event.
