ching site in the UK - walking is good for the soul.......
At CairnGorm Mountain we have a range of self guided trails or ranger guided walks to keep you fit, active and engaged in this mountain environment. Am I fit enough?

We have a range of trails suitable for all abilities; everything from a short stroll through the Mountain Garden to a full on assault of mighty Cairn Gorm, either with or without a guide.
These walks range in dificulty from being do-able by all, to those requiring a certain level of fitness. For the longer summit walks we recommend you enjoy reasonably strenuous walks and are comfortable walking for 2-3 hours on rough terrain.

What should I wear?

For all walks in the hills you need to prepare for mountain weather - even in summer. Layers of clothing including an outer waterproof layer are essential. Bring a rucksack with hat, gloves, a water bottle and snack (picnic lunch if you are going for a full day's walk). Walking boots with ankle support are preferrable while sturdy walking shoes would suffice - wellies, sandals and gym shoes are not appropriate footwear.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are welcome on all walks but please keep them on a leash.  However only registered assistance dogs are permitted on the Walk @ The Top and the Train Up, Train Down options.
