Great family fun every Thursday evening in July and August from 6.30pm. Public Event.  Ride the train up to the Ptarmigan Restaurant for a traditional 3 course Highland Buffet and dancing to a ceilidh band. Don't worry if you don't know all the steps, the band will talk you through them. Adults £24.50, children (12 and under) £15.90, Family (2 adults, 2 children) £65.50. Prices include funicular travel. A ranger led walk to the summit of the UK's 6th highest mountain. A steady climb the walk is suitable for those who enjoy walking but do not have any previous experience of mountain walking. Depending on the month there will be plenty to watch out for and you'll learn lots about this famous arctic landscape!  It's a steady climb and the walk lasts between 3 and 5 hours depending on how much the group decides they wish to do.
